At the crossroads of Southern culture and spiritual growth, you’ll find Blackberry Narrative. My work ranges from bold, abstract interpretations of Scripture—using color and texture to tell a story—to the intricate beauty and nostalgia of the south’s flora, fauna, architecture, and streetscapes.
By pairing the beauty of creation with the symbolism of the Word, I aim to create art that serves as a quiet, visual testament. Like the blackberry itself, our lives are often a mix of rugged wild and beautiful sweetness, and my art seeks to capture that balance. Step into a world where every bird, branch, and brushstroke has a deeper story to tell.
Leah Fritchley is a Georgia-based artist and designer with a BFA in Fine Art and Graphic Design from the University of West Georgia. Her work is a reflection of a life spent creating, a journey that began with childhood experiments in her father’s taxidermy shop and evolved into a sophisticated mastery of watercolor and mixed media.
As the founder of Blackberry Narrative, Leah’s creative process is a daily practice of sketching and design. Her art explores the sacred in the ordinary. Outside of the studio, Leah is an avid runner and cook who treasures time with her family, believing that every aspect of life—from the kitchen to the trail—is an opportunity for creative expression.
